Part-Time Afternoon Nanny | Potrero Hill, San Francisco
A family in Potrero Hill is seeking a warm, playful, and dependable nanny to support their afternoon routine with two children, a five-year-old boy and a ten-year-old girl.
The role combines school pickups, transportation to activities, and engaged childcare. Their daughter is social and athletic, with a busy gymnastics schedule. While she is at practice, the nanny will spend time with their son, building a meaningful relationship through play, park outings, and activities. Responsibilities will vary by day depending on the children’s schedules and the parents’ availability. No household tasks are required.
Schedule
Days: Three to four afternoons per week, Monday–Thursday.
Hours: Approximately 4–8 PM
Guaranteed hours: A minimum of three four-hour shifts, totaling 12 paid hours per week.
Exact days will be agreed upon with the selected candidate, with flexibility for a fourth afternoon.
Responsibilities
Pick up one or both children from school and transport them safely to activities.
Drive their daughter between school in the Mission, gymnastics in South San Francisco, and home.
Spend time with their son while his sister is at practice, initiating imaginative play, outdoor outings, and other age-appropriate activities.
Support their son’s afternoon routine, including sports activities and bath time.
Coordinate with the parents and communicate clearly about the children’s schedules and care.

Experienced caring for preschool and school-age children.
A confident, safety-conscious driver comfortable navigating San Francisco and South San Francisco.
Punctual, reliable, flexible, and communicative.
Holds a valid driver’s license and has a reliable, insured vehicle to use for the role.
Current CPR/First Aid certification and TrustLine registration, or willingness to complete required screening before starting.
Compensation and Planned Breaks
Compensation: $40/hr.
Mileage: Work-related mileage reimbursed.
