Part-Time Weekend Nanny | Marina District, San Francisco
A family in San Francisco’s Marina District is seeking a warm, experienced, and highly engaged weekend nanny for their 17-month-old daughter. She is energetic and fun-loving, and the family hopes to find someone who brings joy, creativity, and genuine connection to her days.
The ideal nanny enjoys getting on the floor to play, reading together, singing, being silly, and exploring outdoors. The family values a caregiver who naturally supports language, development, and independence through everyday interactions and play. They are looking for a consistent, trusted presence who would enjoy building a long-term relationship with their daughter.
Schedule
Days: Saturday and Sunday.
Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m., approximately 16 hours per week, with some flexibility around exact start and end times.
Responsibilities
Provide attentive, affectionate care and support daily routines, including meals and naps.
Encourage language development through conversation, books, songs, and describing everyday activities.
Plan varied, age-appropriate play that supports curiosity, motor skills, and growing independence.
Get outside daily for walks, playground visits, parks, libraries, and other local outings.
Respond calmly and patiently to toddler emotions, nap challenges, and changing routines.
Prepare or warm food provided by the family, assist with meals, and clean the child’s bottles, dishes, and utensils.
Follow the family’s allergy instructions, including avoiding eggs during weekend care.
Tidy toys and play spaces at the end of the day.
Keep the parents informed about their daughter’s day.
Ideal Candidate
Experienced with toddlers, with a strong understanding of early childhood development.
Warm, loving, playful, and comfortable taking initiative.
Talkative and naturally engaging with young children.
Creative about activities and outings, with an approach centered on interaction and exploration rather than screens.
Safety-conscious while giving the child appropriate room to explore.
Patient, emotionally steady, punctual, and dependable.
Comfortable providing independent care while parents are sometimes home.
Interested in a long-term weekend position.
Driving ability and access to a car are a plus, but are not required.
Able to meet Premier Nanny Source’s screening requirements, including references, background screening, TrustLine, and current CPR/First Aid certification.
Comfortable working in a home with a cat.
Candidates should have a weekly schedule that allows at least one full day of rest.
Compensation
$40 per hour.
Scheduling: The family will confirm the schedule one month in advance, including weekends when care is not needed.
